Darth Vader lost his lightsaber when it fell down a shaft in the Death Star II, after Luke had cut off his dominant hand. However, subsequent to the Battle of Endor, a group of dark-side radicals dubbed the "Acolytes of the Beyond " purchased a red -colored lightsaber which they believed was Darth Vader's.
